As many of you know we will not be able to use airboats to hunt gators in Alachua county
so at the meeting last night we agreed to apply for gator permits for
Rodman Reservoir.Today is the first day to apply. Charlie Lawson has
provided the following information relating to the permits and has
graciously offered his place to have the annual cookout for the vets.
After the cookout we will still be able to take the vets for a ride
before the hunt. I would like for as many people as possible to apply
for permits for Rodman Reservoir and specify the last period. I was
contacted today by the Wounded Warrior rep. wanting to know what we were
going to do. He said that right now the WWIA foundation does not have
anything scheduled for the middle of September An alternative is to get permits for Orange and Lochloosa and use GO-Devil boats .
Don't forget we are auctioning off a 270 Remington 770 bolt action
rifle to help support the club so make sure that you contact a club
officer and get your tickets. Tickets are $5.00 a piece or 5 for $20.00
Members will be attending the Airboating magazine annual party at Turner fish camp in Inverness on Saturday June 04 2011. This is always a good time so if you can try and attend.
The United Sportsmen Airboaters Alliance (USAA) and Citrus County Airboaters Alliance (CCAA) will be having a joint ride in Hernando on June 05, 2011.
The summer cookout will be at Burnt Island on July 31,2011
These are the things that are scheduled so far. We are having a
Board of Directors meeting on May 15, 2001 and will be scheduling more
rides and cookouts. If you have any ideas or suggestions please contact a
director.
USAA club dues of $25.00 are due on July 01,2011. We cannot maintain the club without your support so please send your dues to USAA P.O. Box 228 Island Grove, Florida 32654
or pay them at any event or gathering. If there are any questions about
whether you are a paid member or not please contact the USAA treasurer
